Leather and wood trunk. Latch lock and iron handles. Remnants of wallpaper-like material glued to inside. Handwritten label inside trunk lid "May 27, 1912 This trunk is for inspection and for sale. Write or call 4522 Miss W. G. Hill."

Right side exterior panel: Torn label attached with four round head tacks - no writing visible. Near bottom writing in black ink appears to be "John Brown" and remaining word(s) illegible.
Back exterior panel: writing in black ink "John Brown Born in Torrington Conn in 1800."
