Description

Mahogany and mahogany veneer tall case clock with broken-arch top with a central finial over an arched glass door with four turned columns, one on each corner of the hood. Enameled face is signed "Jacob Craft Shepherds Town". Clock made by Jacob Craft in Shepherdstown, West Virginia about 1820. James Burr purchased the clock from Craft for 100 bushels of wheat. Clock keeps track of seconds, hours, date and phases of the moon. Face has black numbers for seconds, hours and date. Numbers at top for phases of moon. Red rose with green leaves in each corner.
