Description

Wood is probably pine with corners edged in copper. Handles on sides, hasp for a lock.

Context

A poem found with the box indicates that it was made for Geraldine brady with lumber from the tollgate at Harpers Ferry which washed ashore during one of the floods and presented to her in 1940 by Mr. Plunkett
