Description

West Point cadet hat. Top covered with black patent leather, sides covered with black felt. Black, round metal vents on each side of hat. Brass West Point emblem on front with spread-winged eagle on top of shield with Greek helmet and sword, banner behind eagle says "DUTY HONOR COUNTRY WEST POINT MDCCCII USMA". Brass ring-linked chain on visor, brass edge around visor, leather chin strap held on with two large brass buttons with "CADET USMA" and West Point insignia as described above. Hat has black, felt shako attachment with a brass decoration below the shako. 1398a is hat. 1398b is the pompom.
