Description

Southern Cross of Honor for John Foley. Bronze colored bar with pin on back engraved in script "1st Lt J J Foley". Below bar is cross in shape of Maltese Cross. Around top three arms is "UNITED DAUGHTERS CONFEDERACY". Hand engraved in script on the three arms is "Stone Wall Brigade", Bottom arm has "TO THE U.C.V.". In center of cross is Confederate battle flag with wreath around it. Back has, on each arm starting from left "SOUTHERN CROSS OF HONOR". Center has "DEO VINDICE 1861 1865" with wreath around it.
