Description

White bonnet with thin black stripes. Ribbons in back for tying and also ribbons for tying under chin. On part of bonnet that covers face are 10 slots for stays or stiffeners. On back of bonnet that would go over head is a large repair sewn on with the same material. Transcribed on the inner right cheek of bonnet : "Owned by Sarah Jane Burr Wiltshire d. 1906 grandmother of Miss Camilla Wiltshire Bonnet 100+ years old. Note! Wiltshire Road off of Rt. 9 on the way to Martinsburg."
