Description

Officer's sword with scabbard, possibly World War II era dress sword. Metal is bright on blade and scabbard. Handle is wood with bright metal hand guard with leather lanyard or frog attached to hand guard. Ornate etching on both sides of blade. One side of blade has "US" and other side has a spread-winged eagle with E PLURIBUS UNUM on a banner below it. Near hand guard on one side of blade is a star that looks like a Star of David but is not with "PROVED" in a circle. On other side near hand guard is "U.S. ARMY REGULATION STANDARD AMERICAN MADE". Scabbard has two metal rings.
