World War I artillery sight. There is a small viewing scope on top which can be lowered and raised with a knurled knob. There is also a knurled knob on the left rear of the piece and corresponding numbers on the right side probably for calculating distance. There is a number ring around the bottom of the piece. The entire mechanism can be mounted on a stand. There is a compass which is activated with a push-knob on the front. There are two bubbles for leveling the mechanism. In a triangle on the front of the viewing scope "C. P. GOERZ". Below that is "BERLIN 14298 X17". On the bottom of the piece is "11853".Acquisition
