Description

Large Stewart-Warner radio with megaphone-type sound horn; in a wooden box with a slanted black metal panel on the front and three large bakelite dials with numbers, a modifier dial, and a rheostat; a smaller dial in the center of the panel; a jack for a speaker and one for phones. In script under the middle dial is "Stewart-Warner". Box lid opens, showing five large tubes inside. On the inside of the lid is a large paper label with "Instructions for Installing and Operating Stewart-Warner Radio, Model 5". The sound horn sits on a round felt covered base and rises with a dramatic curve to the bell. Small brass star-shaped label on the base of the horn says "STAR O TONE STAR RADIO CO. SEATTLE".
