Storer College students with faculty members seated in front row; taken in front of Anthony Hall (present day Mather Training Center), south wing (closest to present day Harpers Ferry Center); early-mid 1940s. Storer College was the first West Virginia college open to African Americans.
Seated in the front row, 5th from left is Professor Saunders and next to him is President McDonald. Both of whom retired in 1944.
