Description

Appleland Band director's uniform of light gray wool consists of tunic and trousers, ca 1960 to 1970. The tunic has gold braided epaulets and a long gold braid on the left shoulder. The end of the braid has a fire hose nozzle type piece at the end. There are brass lyre insignia on the lapels and eight brass buttons with lyres. At the top of the left sleeve on the shoulder in gold is DIRECTOR". At the ends of the sleeves are two gold stripes. Trousers have one gold stripe down each side. Inside trousers on left pocket is tag that says "100% Wool 'UNIFORMS BY OSWALD,' Inc." Also has a size chart, at the bottom is handwritten name of "Chet Hunter".
