World War II OD (olive drab) officer's dress uniform consisting of tunic and pants. The tunic has first lieutenant's bars and one unit insignia pin on epaulets. There are brass "U.S." insignia on lapels and brass medical corps insignia with an "A" on wider lapels. There are two WW II service ribbons above the top left pocket. The 38th Infantry Division patch is on the left shoulder. It is red and blue with "CY" for Cyclones is in center and "Avengers of Bataan" around the CY. There are four overseas service stripes on the left cuff. This means the officer spent two years overseas. There is also a belt with a brass buckle around the tunic. The pants have zipper fly and a belt with brass clasp roller buckle. Handwritten on inside right waistband is "C. H. Strider". Several groups of numbers are stamped or handwritten on the right inside pocket, probably laundry marks.Acquisition
