Description

Red Men Native American outfit includes red jacket with leather fringes on sleeves and bottom, bead and metal disks on two panels on the front and on the collar and cuffs. Large belt with bead work and metal disk. There are red pants with the outfit with the same fringe and metal disk decoration. On the waist band of the pants is a cloth label that reads "W. H. RUSSELL". Note with suit "The Improved Order of Red Men" was a one of the earliest American fraternal organizations. Its ceremonial regalia and rituals were based on those of Native American.
