Scope and Content

A scrapbook inscribed with the name Mary L. Barker. Newspaper clippings are pasted on the pages of a hardbound book titled "Report of the Secretary of Agriculture," dated 1893. Loose clippings are also interleaved throughout much of the book. Clippings are from various newspapers, including the Washington Post, Jefferson Republican, Farmers Advocate, and Baltimore Sun. On the inside cover of the book is a list of topics, many about the Civil War, with corresponding pages in the book.
