Framed crazy quilt stitch sampler. Pieces are of many colors: dark and light blue, dark and light green, brown, beige etc. Stitches are large and of various patterns. Frame is gold colored and has a small brass plate on the center bottom. Plate says "CRAZY QUILT STITCH SAMPLER Made circa 1897 by Misses Mamie and Nellie Eddy shoppe owners, at Charles Town W VA".

Note: Not sure that ca. 1897 could be correct as Mamie was only 20 and Nellie 11 in that year.Acquisition
