Site at Rippon on Rippon-Myerstown Road of the first Rippon School for white students. In 1900 the one-room school became the Rippon Colored School when white students moved to a new brick school on Withers-LaRue Road. The Rippon Colored School operated until 1971 when African American students were transferred to Eagle Avenue School in Charles Town.
