Scope and Content

Scrapbooks, papers, and ephemera related to the Lawson Botts Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The chapter disbanded in 2011 for lack of members. Materials collected and donated by the Chapter's last president. In the scrapbooks and other materials, the donor's name is Anne Hammond. Note from donor: Scrapbooks contain record of Lawson Botts UDC activity in the community and, more importantly, photographs of women in the community. Photographs relate to UDC activity and provide insights into the social history of Jefferson County. The two desktop flags were used at the chapter's meetings.
