Description

Epaulets belonging to General William Price Craighill, Corps of Engineers. Castle insignia of Corps of Engineers on epaulet board. One is missing. Brass star insignia of Brigadier General. Red leather lining underneath, also dark red velvet underneath. Wide horseshoe shaped brass cap on ends and brass coiled wire fringes hang down. Large clasp on back. One says "right" (487a) and one says "left" (487b). Epaulets are housed in a tin box, catalog number 486. 487a is on display in Case 23.
