Small piece of paper with 2 handwritten notes, one on either side of the page, related to a plat by James Brown (catalog #ARC182), which was donated to the museum by Susan Blatchford's daughter)

On one side, note is addressed to "Dear Miss Laura" and signed S. Howell Brown. Dated "Oakland July 4, 1902."
The other side is dated October 6, 1914 and reads: "This old map was drawn by James Brown (your grandfather) for my uncle J.B.W. to be used in the Wager Division 1835. Was [given me?] by your father S.H. Brown." It is signed E.B. WagerAcquisition
