Satin United States of America flag. Brass grommets. Written on edge "THIS FLAG FLOWN AT KANDAHAR AIRPORT ON 21 SEPT 2002 IN AFGHANISTAN, ATC CHIEF SFC BALLARD U.S. ARMY" Signed "William P. Ballard". Included with the flag is a framed certificate stating that the flag was flown aboard a C-130 from the 167th Airlift Wing in Martinsburg to Afghanistan an flown over the country of Afghanistan on behalf of Brigadier Gen. V. Wayne (Speedy) Lloyd. Flag is Cat. #1158a. Certificate is Cat. #1158b.
