Eight pieces of paper money:
(1) Three pieces of paper currency from the Corporation of Charlestown, Virginia (currency is pasted to heavy paper at the center top edge of currency; was in frame, but has been removed from frame). Top is ten cents note dated in handwritten ink May 23rd, 1861. Has Native American on left, and two women on right. Second is twenty-five cents note dated May 23rd, 1861. Has three 25s on each side. Third is one dollar note dated January 21, 1862, with Native American on left.
(2) Corporation of Charlestown twenty-five cent note dated January 1, 1862;
(3) Bank of the Valley of Virginia ten dollar note;
(4) Bank of the Valley of Virginia twenty dollar note;
(5) Bank of the Valley of Virginia twenty dollar note dated 1852;
(6) Bank of the Valley of Virginia fifty dollar note dated March 5, 1856.Acquisition
