St. George's Chapel ruins, off Route 51, 1 and 1/2 mile west of Charles Town, adjacent to Piedmont Lane. Origins in late 1760s and services held there until 1811 or possibly as late as 1817 when the Zion Episcopal Church was completed in Charles Town (see Historic Jefferson County by Millard K. Bushong, 1972).
