China plate with pink rim; in center of plate is picture of Jefferson County Court House in circle; sprigs of pink flowers and green leaves on either side of circle; printed below picture: "Court House inwhich [sic] John Brown was sentenced CharlesTownWVa". On reverse is red circle with the following words in red inside the circle: "CHARLES W. BROWN CHARLES TOWN, W. V." These plates and other similar decorative items were sold by Charles W. Brown in his jewelry shop on West Washington Street in Charles Town from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. The store was located at 130 West Washington Street, near the corner of Charles Street and West Washington Street.Acquisition
