Envelope, Printed on edge "Copyright secured by Brown & Ryan, New York." Refers to the split between the western counties of Virginia and southern and eastern areas. Printed image of a man, "WESTERN VIRGINIA" holding onto tail of a donkey "EASTERN VIRGINIA" and attempting to prevent it from jumping off a precipice. Beneath is printed "No folly 'neath the sun surpasses the folly of these suicidal asses!".
