Red yardstick with the words J. EMORY KABLE, DISTRIBUTOR, ESSO GASOLINE - FUEL OIL - KEROSENE - MOTOR OILS - GREASES under the measurement portion in inches on both sides. Used for advertising and as complimentary gifts for customers. J. Emory Kable's store was located at 11066 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Charles Town and operated in the 1950s to 1980s.
