4) Printed document "(Extracts from Congressional Record" Undated. Contains amongst others The Wilson Bill, Speech in Congress of Hon. Wm. L. Wilson of West Virginia. Previously bound by rusted staples; staples removed at time of cataloging.
5) Penned letter dated October 21, 1900 and 6) typed transcript of same: Funeral of William L. Wilson, Postmaster General at Charles Town, WVa. "My Dear Daughter Bessie" Typed on back of United States Post Office stationary & annotated with information including "Craghill to Mrs. Hunter Davidson" Letter is a firsthand account of Mr. Wilson's funeral, President Cleveland was in attendance and includes personal interactions with the President while he was in Jefferson County.
7) Newspaper clipping with pencil annotation "Jefferson Republican, Charles Town, May 29, 1952. Article summarizes a speech by Dr. Festus P. Summers, Director of History, West Virginia University to the Jefferson County Historical Society. Dr. Summers manuscript "The Democracy of Tariff Reform: the Life of William Lyne Wilson" was due to be published later that year.Acquisition
