Description

Small, German bisque-head female doll with fabric and lace body wearing a cape-type garment of cream-colored fabric with black or dark green braid over a "dress" of cream-colored fabric and lace, with a silk collar. Doll's hat is made of cream-colored silk with black or dark-green trim. Eyelashes are painted on face of doll. According to Sue Collins, former curator, the doll originally had a human-hair wig attached to back of head, probably originally had glass eyes that have been damaged, and may have been carried in a child's pocket.
