Military Department of Michigan document forming 2nd Regiment of Michigan Infantry dated April 25, 1861. Glued to the bottom are two railway tickets issued to soldiers for Central Michigan Railroad one dated May 16, 1861 and one dated May 30, 1861. Detached from larger board are two pieces with handwriting: "Presented to General William Shakespeare of Kalamazoo a member of the 2nd Regiment. From the Florence S. Babbitt Collection of Michigan Documents. 1904 (or 1914)"
