Description

Hand-made fabric doll with blue eyes, eyelashes, eyebrows, nose, and mouth of stitched thread. Doll has brown yarn for hair that is stitched to her head. Wearing hand-stitched blue floral top with pink silk lining and white lace on the end of the sleeves; white pants and petticoat with ruffled white lace on ends and tied with pink ribbons around the waist; pink skirt tied with pink ribbon around the waist. Doll has black shoes made from thin black material overtop of what may be a burlap fabric. The black material is peeled in some areas. Made by Jen Elliott, who lived on Mildred Street in Charles Town, in 1942.
