Scope and Content

Collection of account books, images, and documents from the Gerard M. Rissler family of Dry Bridge Farm on Kabletown Road. George Lewis Rissler inherited the farm from his father George. After the death of George Lewis, Gerard lived on and operated Dry Bridge Farm. The collection consists of the following: Ledgers/account books ARC681-1 Record of home/farm activities, sale of merchandise, and work performed for/by others, 1886-1895; on spine is printed "Ledger"; likely kept by George L. Rissler ARC681-2 Record of "account of store," 1902; on front cover are handwritten "S.G.M." (Samuel Griffith Matthew Rissler) and printed "Order Book" ARC681-3 Record of accounts, 1912-1942, primarily related to "home grainery," likely kept by Gerard M. Rissler ARC681-4 Accounting of items sold, price, buyer; on front cover are "Index" printed and "Sale Book G.M. Rissler C. Preston Engle & Cavalier(?) C.W. Moore Clerk, Nov. 29, 1940" handwritten (Note: Engle was the auctioneer.)
