Handwritten note from Henry T. McDonald, president of Storer College, explaining the provenance of a shawl (Object # 133) purportedly owned by Judge Richard Parker (who presided over trial of John Brown). According to McDonald's note, the shawl was given to Sallie Sims (Lewis) of Myerstown, who worked for the Parker family. Sims gave it to her sister Elizabeth Sims, a teacher at Storer College, who, in 1930, gave the shawl to Henry T. McDonald, president of Storer College.
