Description

Menu from the Rainbow Diner with pink cover, four pages front and back.

Context

The Rainbow Diner was the restaurant part of the Rainbow Road Club, formerly known as the Orchard Inn. The name changed when the 1985 film about Patsy Cline "Sweet Dreams" was filmed locally. Though Cline did play at the Orchard Inn, filmmakers used the location to portray an old Winchester venue called "Rainbow Road" and the name stayed until the club closed in 2024 to make way for the widening of US340.
