Jacob Stone House. Stone purchased lot 21 from Charles Washington in 1791 and built a house there. In 1800 William and Abigail Tate purchased the house and enlarged it living there until 1818. The Bank of the Valley of Virginia purchased the building and operated a bank there until 1867. In 1872 the Bank of Charles Town was chartered and operated here until 1919.
