At top of page is printed "Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, 1861-1865." At bottom left of page is "To accompany report of General Robert E. Lee C. S. Army. Series 1. Vol XIX Part 1 Page 139."
Between 1891 and 1895 the War Department issued 175 double page plates of maps and views to accompany the Official Army Records of the Civil War. These original plates show details not visible in any subsequent reprints as all reprints were reduced in size. This map is an original.Acquisition
