Medal is in three parts. The top is a metal bar with a red ribbon attached. The bottom of the ribbon is attached to a small bar with a silver colored round medal attached to it. The red ribbon says in gold letters "BOSTON 1895". The medal has two triangles together like an hourglass. Around the bottom half is "STATIONED AT BALTIMORE". In the center is an upside down triangle with "1790" in the left corner and "1871" in the right corner. In the center is a cross in a circle. Around the circle is "MARYLAND COMMANDERY NO. 1". The reverse of the medal has around it in a circle "MARYLAND COMMANDERY NO. 1. M. K. T. INCORPORATED 1790". In the center is a crown with a cross through it. Around the crown and cross is "IN HOC SIGNO VINCES".Acquisition
