Scope and Content

A playing card with an invitation on the back. On the playing side is a King painted red, black, yellow, gray, and white. In the upper left corner in the diamond is 20 tiny holes (possible pinholes). On the blank side is a hand written invitation that states: "1765, A Course of Lectures, on the materia medica & practice, of physic commencing Nov. (00/7 18)(?), to be given at his house, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, at 3 o'clock PM, By Dr. John Morgan, Professor of Medicine." On old catalog card it is listed as being rare. Colonial period- Virginia
