Album or journal with red leather binding with floral design on front. Published by T.C. Riker, New York. Inscribed inside front cover in script "This little book was gotten for me by my dear Mother to write Scripture verses in. I will use it to copy hymns in, which I wish to preserve with other sacred pieces. June 28th 1863". Book is also inscribed "L Nelson from dearest Gramma 1852"
