Description

Round biscuit with some small pieces broken away. "Bremner" is stamped on face of biscuit. Thirteen small holes around it. A note with the biscuit reads as follows: "Biscuit 62 years old. This biscuit was made from flour and water in a Confederate soldiers' camp in Virginia in 1864 - it was given by a soldier to Miss Goldsborough at Summit Point, and was treasured by her as a memento of him for fifty years. It then came into the possession of H. T. Miley of Charles Town, who vouches for the facts of its unusually long existence."
