Large copper over tin kettle or pot for boiling water. Curved spout is crudely soldered to body of kettle. Handle on pot goes from spout side to back. Kettle is slightly tapered from top to bottom. Finial is missing. Lid has hole in middle with replaced crude bent brass rod for handle. Top of handle marked "J_ H_BLONDEL_EIGHT_Q". There is what appears to be a darker rectangular piece of metal applied to side of kettle that is 1 3/8 inches long by 1/4 inch high. May be a repair.Acquisition
