Phila.: Thomas Dobson, 1798. 1st ed. 52pp. Evans 34355. Austin 497. Signed “O. Fiske’s”. This may be Hon. Oliver Fiske, MD. A son of Rev. Dr. Nathan Fiske, recieved his first degree in Harvard College in the year 1787, He chose the useful profession of a physician, and was many years a highly respecable member of the faculty in Worcester. He was a scientific physician, being well acquainted with natural philosophy, chemistry, and all physiology, so far as contributed to a correct or successful practice. Dr. Fiske was also in public office for several years, after he arrived at the meridian of lofe according to the usual ago of man. he was one of the Supreme Executive Council of the Commonwealth (of Mass) in 1809, and again in 1812 and 1813 (Biographical notes of Distinguished men of New England.
