Rare. This work was written and distributed by Rush for his lecture class in 1798 at the University of Pennsylvania. Most of all copies of this syllabus are either held by institutions or have come from institutions.
The total quantity printed of this work is unknown but it is most likely less than 50, with only a handful surviving outside of institutional hands. Evans lists 9 copies in total. Last appearance on the market was in the George MacManus dealer catalogue from 1980 and no other copies are listed as having come to market since.
The work is split into three chapters which discuss Rush's works and advances within the field of Pathology. It has specific interest with cases regarding women, children, and of the black population.

Bottom and side of the front wrapper's free ends a bit burnt with loss to margin of the title-page, not affecting text. Old mail stamp affixed to front wrapper. Some light scorch marks to page 3.
