Description

These large checkers with distinctive "bullseye" carving pattern date to the early 1930's. They were acquired as a set of 15, but these six are translucent while the other nine are opaque. Given the frequent variations in color among early bakelite checkers, it seems likely that they were an original set that happened to be comprised of rounds cut from two different bakelite rods.
