BG-2024.0441Description
This wood-framed folding set has a textured fabric surface with some sort of coating providing durability and a smooth playing surface that seems clearly superior to cork in appeal. The checkers are a simple clay composite in the traditional "backgammon colors" of the day. Unfortunately, the proportions of the field accommodate only small 1.25" checkers, with a lot of extra lateral "slop" that regular players would have found annoying -- and what's worse, the provided checkers are only 1" in diameter. The exterior features an attractive tooled decorative pattern on panels affixed to the wood frame. The playing pieces, dice and 'Modernized Backgammon' instructional booklet give every appearance of being original to the board, which shows only minor signs of wear.Made/Created
