BG-2026.0149Description
This folding set is likely, but not certainly an Arthur Popper 'AP Games' product. The 3/4 inch cube is in the popper style, as is the bakelite handle and the 1.5" checkers in the carved bowl style. The checkers, well sized to the set, are stored in a cardboard box that may not be original to the set as the pieces fit very loosely in one layer. The implements box is also at odds with the handled board, as the checkers would spill out if carried inside -- but this problem also points the way toward Popper's patented idea for a set with built in checker tray.Made/Created
