This is the very small backgammon component from a gaming compendium set, probably from the 1940's. The inventive game pieces are square tiles with a circle embossed and painted in a style suggesting round checkers, but presumably making them easier to store in one of the compartments of the gaming case. Each piece has a small 'R' representing the Rottgames brand. (Other examples have been seen online with the full 'Rottgames' branding on the playing field or game case. The accompanying booklet includes rules for multiple games and has branding by 'The Star Case Company."Made/Created
