Ginger Rogers at Gilcrest

Name/Title

Ginger Rogers at Gilcrest

Description

Ginger Rogers is pictured playing at the same backgammon set several times,, first with Florence Lake around the time they appeared together in "Having Wonderful Time" (1938) and then with her cousin Phyllis at her Gilcrest estate. The board appears be an Arthur Popper or similar set, with leather handle. The latter photos, hardly genuine candids, seem to prioritize showcasing Rogers' legs, resulting in awkward framing and composition.
