The final book in the 1930-31 publishing frenzy is also its least essential. The premise is to provide a series of pre-rolled dice that “take some of the luck out of backgammon” since the rolls can afterwards be reversed and afford the players the same numbers to play. The book is “enlivened” by a wretched series of cartoon images devoid of charm or wit. Every last one is pointless, racist, or witless, and the illustration is amateurish at best. The book is rare, perhaps because few were sold.
