Notes

Julia Hechanova created two pages of drawings for the Dolphin Club Sliding Seat Singles. (The 3 originals BAGGIANI, FOSTER, and LANDUCCI were built in 1948 and the other 6 were built later.) The first page shows the scale lines, and the second page shows construction details of the oar, gudgeon, oarlock and sliding seat, with a table of offsets as well as scantlings/materials. The drawings for the Sliding Seat Singles, photographs, and a history were donated to the Library of Congress, specifically to the HAER (Historic American Engineering Records) collection. See current Dolphin Club boat listings: https://www.loc.gov/pictures/search/?q=dolphin%20club&sg=true All 9 Dolphin Club sliding seat singles will have the same catalog number HAER CA-2358 as a “Dolphin Club Rowboat, Sliding Seat Single.” As of September 2023, the drawings and history document have not yet been listed on the LOC/HAER website.
