Pie-a-la-Mode 1950s Donated by the McDemas family in memory of James McDemas Part of a series of permanent, freestanding Los Angeles County Fair buildings, this beloved mom-and-pop pie shop closed its doors in 1999 and was soon after demolished. Located just footsteps away from the famous Ernie’s Bar-B-Q eatery and neon pig-chef sign, this pie shop was part of a festive, neon-lit food court at the Fair.
