Leader Foods / Grand Central Pork Kitchen 1940s / 1960s Donated by Grand Central Square Limited Partnership Both signs were destined for downtown Los Angeles’ Grand Central Market and Leader Foods hung above stall C-6 for many years after the business closed. The mystery of the Pork Kitchen however is more unusual as it may have been a rare sign that was produced but never displayed. No photographs of the neon pig have been discovered in what is one of downtown’s most photographed public interiors; the swine’s mysterious design and history are still unknown.
